“Thar He Blows!”

Moby Dick. The movie about Captain Ahab’s obsession with a white whale. When one talks about visuals, the ones in this classic movie still remain with me decades later.

Especially the scene where the whale and Captain Ahab appear one final time with the Captain tied to the whale waving his men to continue with the chase. And like me, I’m sure that you have watched the movie more than once and it was just as memorable.

How about a restaurant? Have you ever had a meal where the food was so good, the taste of it stays with you for days? You actually see the dish you had in your mind? The whole experience stays with you until you go back for more and you go through it all again and again.

Strawberry Chiffon Pie

Or perhaps, a hotel where the stay was so perfect that you now use them exclusively wherever your travels take you. Price is not an issue. It is the experience that you want and they deliver that experience every single time, no matter the location. Here again the visual of how you felt rolls out each time you think about it.

It’s easy when you are marketing online to forget that there is more to it than just saving a dollar to your visitors. Immediately you have to create a visual contact bold enough to keep them on your site or there is no possibility of your ROI.

Image result for true colors of the color spectrum

Colors are important, even more so if you are advertising on mobile. That is a small screen and bold colors are going to be your visual. Easy to read as well as quick.

Watch out for to many words on your ad. You want to get their interest to move to the next step and fill out their information and then give them a choice. Product information, reviews, about you, policies etc ...

When it comes down to it, how well you are able to engage the flow of visual and convenience together will make the difference.

Thank you for stopping by!
