Don't Pay For What You Can Get Free!

“In the world of Internet Customer Service, it’s important to remember your competitor is only one mouse click away.” – Doug Warner

QR Codes are making a comeback because of smartphone technology and more of us are using the QR Codes in our marketing strategy.

I am writing this today because I just read two articles on their information on the codes. They made it seem so complicated when it is not. Their price range was between $41 and $59 for just a basic code. Those are monthly prices and billed annually?

I offer three simple QR Codes for free and there is no use in paying for QR Codes unless you want something special made. My codes are of good quality and my QR Code site was not free. I paid $1800 for the site.

Why? Because I knew the QR Codes were returning to the fold and I wanted good quality and I use them ... so in the long term, I have saved myself some money.  And I am tired of paying outrageous prices to those that think that just because we own a business and create jobs, that we should pay out an expense that does not even need to happen in the first place.

The above QR Code takes someone to my website when

they scan it.

I made the Code on my QR Code site

When you fill out your information on my site, yes, I get your email and name but your information is safer with me than somewhere out on the net. I usually send an email out with my contact information, including a blog link to where you can read updates when you want to or to contact me. I never contact you to sell anything or sell your information. You can unsubscribe easily.

Why do I give the Codes away? Because I use them for a give away to all of my customers. You can also give them away from my site. No strings attached. Make them the QR Codes yourself then deliver in person or by email. There is no limit on how many you can make.

On my next post, I will follow up on how I use QR Codes to make an approach to a business prospect

You get the marketing information (instructions) as soon as the codes are made

“QR stands for "Quick Response." Smartphone owners simply scan a QR code, press enter, and they are immediately taken to the website, the app, the online information the QR code links to”

Virtual Business Card

Use this QR code to load all of your contact information into a users smartphone when they scan the code. The code will launch the users address book and your information will be "populated" and ready to save. The name and email address you provide, the QR form will automatically be included as part of your VBC.

From your smartphone you can also share your Virtual Business Card/QR Code with other smartphone users. You can even print the QR code directly on your physical business cards so all your contact needs to do is scan the QR code and save your info to their phone! (Note: some smartphones may not capture all contact information from a VBC QR code.)

 Virtual Business Cards

Send out an email with your QR code to your contacts!

You can pick and choose who to invite to see your QR code, or just select them all with one click! We've prepared a special invitation and attached your QR code to be sent to every person you enter.

Your Virtual Business Card does NOT have to be just for business!

It can be for personal use too! Showing your friends, family, etc. a QR code (which you can store right on your phone) is much easier than having them type out all your contact information everytime you want to exchange numbers! So, when you fill out your Virtual Business Card info, just provide the information you want your friends, family, etc to see when you give them your QR code”

Phone Number

This is a special QR code that, when scanned, will automatically launch a smartphone's "Phone" feature and preload your phone number so that all the user needs to do is tap "Call" on their phone to immediately dial your number!

Your Phone QR code can go to your company's phone, or your personal number, or any phone number you desire. Example of a way to promote this QR code: Scan this QR code to be connected immediately to me (or us) (or customer service)

For your Phone Number QR code just select from the dropdown above the "Call Us Now" option.

This is the most common QR code usage. This is used to simply launch a smartphones web browser and take the user to a specific webpage. You can direct the user to any web page you wish. Can be used to provide product information, launch your main website from a sign in a storefront window, provide a coupon on a point of purchase display, in a print ad for more information.... the possibilities are endless!"
