The Power Of A Mindset

There is no such thing as a preservative free diet here in the USA, but there are many ways to cut out those preservatives, at least enough to make a difference. For the last five years I have tried to go as natural as I possibly can in my diet  and it has really paid off.

I changed my diet the weekend I was sent home from the hospital long enough to make arrangements for my funeral, then was to report back on Monday with a promise they would make my final days comfortable.

Due to belly fat, there was no circulation of blood to my lower extremities. The belly fat had shut off all avenues of blood flow. The surgeon explained to me that belly fat was almost impossible to break through, that the fat is tougher than cement, but they had managed to get a pin hole opened. The bad news was that it would soon close up.

At the time, I had three separate infections ravaging throughout my body. Because of one of those infections, my left leg needed to be removed but I was to weak to have surgery because I  technically should not have survived the one I just had to get the pinhole opened.

During that surgery I died and after ten hours on life support with no sign of being able to breathe on my own, they wheeled me into an area for the family to have privacy while they took me off of life support.

But, as the surgeon was making that fateful walk to tell the family in the waiting room, life suddenly burst back inside of me. I immediately started ripping the tubing out of my throat and did some damage to my teeth before they realized I was alive once again. It took eight of them to hold me down so they could remove me from life support

Yet, after all of that, they were telling me that I had come back to life to die again.

Fast forward six months. I never reported back to the hospital to die. Once they located me, they insisted that I have a follow up appointment. So, I found myself sitting on a hospital bed with a team of Doctors standing there looking at me. I sat looking back at them and was like, “Yes?” They kept me to run tests.

The results. Same group of Doctors standing there looking at me. They told me that all evidence of any prior problems were gone. Blood flow to my lower extremities was back. My left leg no longer needed to be removed. All infections gone. My heart was in good shape. They released me with instructions to just keep doing whatever I had been doing.

What had I done to change my fate?

I started “earthing” twice a day for 30 minutes each time. (The recommendation is once a day for 30 minutes every day) I eliminated preservatives in my diet as much as I possibly could.

I introduced a mixture of 50/50 green and black tea, cold with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and drink a minimum of three 16 ounce servings each day. (The recommendation is twice a day) Three years ago I added  infused water with lemon and cucumber to the mix

Five years later, I am still following the same diet, but 30 pounds lighter and all medications have been cut in half, some even more than that. My goal is to get off of all medications and lose another 15 pounds.

I use to get pneumonia twice a year serious enough to be in the hospital but have had no bouts of it now for almost four years. Infections non existent for almost three years I have had one surgery since but because of my near death experience refused to be put asleep.

I survived it but barely because there was nothing available to eliminate the pain for the type of surgery I had… and so I felt every bit of it and I was very weak afterwards.

When they delivered me to my hospital bed, there were 12 white hawks hovering outside my window. One hawk met my eyes and had the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen. The hawks returned each day at the same time for as long as I was there. I am part Cherokee and this was an important symbol to me.

In conclusion, small changes in your diet can make a difference and what you drink can make a difference. When it comes to your diet, choose healthy first and convenience last. Determination and consistency are important.

But until you develop the right mindset no change will last as long as needed. It is the same for the relationships in our lives and in our financial success.

Our well being and the balance of harmony in our lives that we all seek begins in what we think to ourselves and how we talk to ourselves, which in turn, is the result of how good or how bad we feel physically and spiritually.
