Free QR Code Generator

Free QR Codes

At CodeBlue, we provide Mobile Marketing Solutions for small business, independent sales people, MLM organizations and for the internet marketers. We also offer some free services and I like to highlight them occasionally.

Today, I want to tell you how a QR Code, (Quick Response Code) can be put to work for you. Most believe that the heyday of QR Codes have passed and should not be considered part of any marketing strategy, but my aim is to convince you otherwise.

The Codes may not look like much of anything, but QR Codes have the ability:

  • To drive more traffic to you
  • Raise the level of awareness in your company’s service or product to a higher level.
  • At the same time, give easy access to those customers that want more information
  • You can lead your traffic to wherever you want to
  • You can track your results

From a QR Code?

The answer is yes!

Why will the QR Codes become more commonly seen?

Convenience

It is the only real driving factor for a purchase,

whether it is of need or want

A Smartphone user can quickly scan and download the information onto their phone in seconds. Again, easily scanned, the QR Code redirects the Smartphone user to wherever the creator of the code wants to take them.

It could be a website, information about a product, a service, Q & A’s, webinar information, a coupon, a map with directions to a business; these are just a few examples.

Here is a unique way the QR Codes are being

used for the visually impaired.

Enter #YellowTheWorld

“Yellow The World is a worldwide initiative created by the NoisyVision organization that helps visually impaired people know whether or not they are at a positive or negative accessibility zone.

In everyone’s eyes, a QR code is a square based code and can only be interpreted by an electronic “eye” that decodes it into information (a sound, a video, a voice or a map).

Though a visually impaired person is not necessarily blind. He or she can see shapes, colors and shadows, and have a general feel regarding positioning, brightness and contrast. Nevertheless, it can be difficult to read information, signs or directions.

When we think about accessibility we should consider the different types of limitations that a human being can have. In many cases, the requirements of visually impaired people are not taken into consideration. Designers and architects focus primarily on how appealing a graphic piece or a building will be. Motor disabilities solutions come in later.

A QR Code can solve many of these problems.

It's simple and recognizable

Inside the city of Berlin, Yellow thumb cards indicate that all is good, while black thumb cards note caution.

In order to make sure that everyone knows why cities are being tagged with yellow and black thumbs, QR codes, were placed within the thumbs that are linked to the explanation of the project.

Whoever scans a QR codes is able to retrieve the information that can be easily read or heard through a smartphone.

Examples of this use can be found at bus stops. Timetables are annoyingly small… However, in some cities there are QR codes just next to them, which can provide real time information for the visually impaired.

It is a very effective way to communicate; Yellow The World informs about the initiative and at the same time highlights the fact that people who are visually impaired can find QR codes very useful.” ~ This case study was brought to us by Dario Sorgato, the founder of NoisyVision. uqr.me

Free QR Codes

We offer three different types of QR Codes on the site. You can select any one of them or select all three. Make as many as you want and as often as you want. Each one will perform a different behavior when the smartphone user scans it with their phone.

Here's how each one works:

Virtual Business Card

Use this QR code to load all of your contact information into a users smartphone when they scan the code. The code will launch the users address book and your information will be "populated" and ready to save. The name and email address you provide at top of the QR form will automatically be included as part of your VBC. From your smartphone you can also share your Virtual Business Card/QR Code with other smartphone users. You can even print the QR code directly on your physical business cards so all your contact needs to do is scan the QR code and save your info to their phone! (Note: some smartphones may not capture all contact information from a VBC QR code.)

Phone Number

This is a special QR code that, when scanned, will automatically launch a smartphone's "Phone" feature and preload your phone number so that all the user needs to do is tap "Call" on their phone to immediately dial your number!

Your Phone QR code can go to your company's phone, or your personal number, or any phone number you desire. Example of a way to promote this QR code: Scan this QR code to be connected immediately to me (or us) (or customer service)

URL

This is the most common QR code usage. This is used to simply launch a smartphones web browser and take the user to a specific webpage. You can direct the user to any web page you wish. Can be used to provide product information, launch your main website from a sign in a storefront window, provide a coupon on a point of purchase display, in a print ad for more information.... the possibilities are endless!

Next time you visit someone in the hospital, check out the QR Code on their wrist. Although not yet there ... someday they will be able to scan that QR Code and have access to all of your medical information. It may even have a talking Code that highlights your last visit or surgery.

In conclusion, the great debate on the QR Code will continue. Meanwhile, however, the many ways the creator can be creative, QR Codes will work continuously now and in our future.

Info

Don't have a QR Code Scanner on your smartphone yet?

There are many QR code scanners available in the App marketplaces for your particular smartphone. ...But we've put together a list of ones that work well on different smartphone platforms. Access to this information is also listed on the website and takes only seconds. The information will save you time from looking for what you need.
