Why bother to position yourself as an authority in your market?

The simple answer, is that it allows you to attract a higher amount of quality leads, justify higher prices for products and services, and ultimately turn yourself into a magnet for growth.

To do so, here are a few tips…

1. Stay Aware Of Industry News

You don’t have to sit in front of your computer or TV 24/7 to do this.

Instead, use free tools like Google Alerts and RSS readers to automatically grab up headlines circulating around key phrases and news articles.

Staying aware allows you to share that knowledge with your audience and/or be able to respond to the questions they have on their minds.

2. Share Your Content

Compile a list of weblogs within your field and offer to supply guest posts.

The blog owner gets fresh, unique content.

You get your name in front of a new audience.

3. Write A Book
Imagine the instant spike in credibility you’d receive by writing a book.

Nowadays , you don’t need to deal with  literary agents and major publishers to get your message out.
You jist need is an idea, and you can use resources like Amazon’s CreateSpace and Kindle, Apple’s iBooks, Nook, etc. to publish a digital or physical book.

4. Show Your Passion
If you’re displaying enthusiasm and sincerity, people will notice.

Passion shows you’re genuinely interested in your topic, and are willing to help others.

5.Share The Credit

You could simply state your opinion.
However, if you take the time to research the topic you want to write about, it gives you the opportunity to cite resources and show you’ve taken the time validate your opinion.

List the your resources , show statistics, etc.

6. Keep It Simple

As your knowledge grows, you might not realize how complicated certain concepts are to someone who has less experience than you do.

It’s always a good rule of thumb for EVERYTHING you create to use simple language, and use metaphors when necessary to simplify the complicated info.

7. Interview Experts

Interviews are an extremely simple and effective way to create new content, but they’re also a great way to sort of “leverage” the credibility to yourself.

By talking with an expert in your field, you get to associate your name with theirs. Remember that you're known by the company that you keep.

Even though the expert you’re interviewing is the one supplying the knowledge, you still get to be perceived as the deliverer, since it’s your audience and you’re conducting the interview!
