For additional information  Click Here

Curcumin is the main chemical found in Turmeric. Many people have probably heard of turmeric, at least. It is an anti-inflammatory ingredient that helps many acute and chronic diseases, including Cancer, gynecomastia in men treated for cancer, Cystic Fibrosis, Alzheimer's and has been used as traditional Asian medicine to treat arthritis and digestive system ailments. Many people may not realize that turmeric curcumin prevents heart disease, because the research studies are fairly new. Turmeric curcumin heart disease remedies at now sold in supplements that are readily available in oral pill form.

Turmeric comes from the root of a plant that is native to Southern Asia and is made into deep orange-yellow powder which is commonly used as a spice in curries. The largest trading center of turmeric is in India, and curcumin is the active ingredient that gives turmeric curcumin is medicinal values. While it is commonly substituted for the more expensive saffron in culinary circles, it is sold as a health remedy for the most part.

In Southern Asia, it is frequently used as an antiseptic and antibacterial agent. It is popular as a tea in Japan and is taken for stomach problems. In other Asian and Mideast countries, it is used as an anti-inflammatory, treatment for irritable bowel syndrome and is used in a variety of skin creams.

It is now found to provide benefits for many other ailments and just recently discovered that turmeric curcumin prevents heart disease. Its healing powers may come from the fact that curcumin is a polyphenol and antioxidant, which is found in other healing foods and dietary supplements. Because of the anti-inflammatory properties, it can reduce inflammations of joints and other pains, as well.

Some reports have also some linked turmeric curcumin supplements to lead contamination, and others have been reported to contain smaller amounts of curcumin than stated, according to independent lab testing. When you are purchasing turmeric curcumin dietary supplements, you should be sure to research that they are not on the suspected list and buy from a reputable source.

Usually, turmeric supplements are standardized at 90 to 95% curcumin, and taken in 250 to 500 mg, three times a day, for a twelve week period, in a therapeutic recommendation. Used in these amounts, it is considered safe, and has been used to naturally treat everything from constipation to blood clotting. This is part of what make it effective in treating heart disease, because it reduces platelets from clumping together, which improves circulation.

Because turmeric curcumin is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, it has been found to offer benefits to the liver, lowers histamine levels and increases natural cortisone production, in addition to showing it inhibited the spread of skin cancer. While it has been used historically for treating poor vision, rheumatic pains and coughs, its medical uses may still be left undiscovered, fully.

New studies are showing it beneficial in treating diabetes and that it reduces heart enlargement and dramatically reduces the chance of heart failure. Turmeric curcumin heart disease studies are still relatively new, but it would appear that turmeric curcumin prevents heart disease.
