Authenticity: Be More of Who You Are

So many of us have bought into the “fake it till you make it” syndrome, that we have psyched ourselves into thinking that putting our happiness on hold is a season we must endure. That is a lie and if you have co-signed on this agreement, you have written yourself a bad check. Here is the true essence of wholeness and happiness and fulfillment: The world is full of gaps. You are on a special assignment to fill a particular gap – one that only you can best fill. When you are out in left field, doing the “martyr thing” and assuming everyone must go through this low point (which for some may last for years) you will be out of sync if your assignment is actually right field. Your rhythm is off; you can’t quite catch your breath; your peers expect too much or too little of you, and frustration and disappointment on many days. I saw this in true form today on a woman’s t-shirt today: "Same Nightmare, Different Day" The wearer of this garment apparently was not filling her gap. She was not in the right place, being the right person, that she was designed to be. Operating out of your zone can easily be a nightmarish experience. What does being in the right place feel like? Looking forward to operating at the top of your game – every day. Desiring to serve and connect and make a difference. Being tired, no, spent, regularly, and being refilled and eager to step up to the plate again. Eager, not anxious – the former stirs up excitement and energy, the latter, worry and fear. Eagerness comes from a place of knowing you will always have access to what you are called on to deliver. When you are in your zone, you are literally pouring yourself out, every day. But just like when you donate blood, your body creates more, so will you again be whole. When you give of your spirit, from the position of operating from your true self, you will also find an inner creative process – reconstituting you, to give to others. The time to impact is now. More evidence left behind to verify your existence. Beyond snapshots and other mementos - take time to sow yourself into others. Become who you are, so those who are waiting on you, can get what they are supposed to get. Assignment: Take some time this week to evaluate who you are and determine how close you are to identifying and fulfilling your mission. Take some positive steps to make your vision and your hopes a manifested reality. Let me know how you do. Find some FREE tips on my website to help you with your personal evaluation...
