Do You Do Business In Facebook And Sometimes Use Your Timeline?

Now we all know that we should not be doing business on your timeline but on your Fan Page or in Groups.  However, if you do it stealth enough ( in other words not too often) you should be able to stay under Facebook Police Radar.

That being said if you are going to do it you need to have your settings set where people even if they are not friends can comment. So how do you do that?

First off go to your timeline and up in the right-hand corner is a down arrow. It is right next to where it says activity log. There is three little dots click on it.

Then click on Timeline Settings.   Next click on Public Posts

Then you will see the place where you need to make this stuff Public!

Make sure the first 4 are set to Public. That way people can comment or ask questions about the sneaky advertising post that you have put on your timeline.

The top one allows people to follow you without having to send you a friend request. I did a post on that awhile ago on your follow button being on. If you have not read it, you can read it HERE   This is a good thing to have happen because they will see your popular posts in their timeline. What posts are popular you might ask? I did a post on the new algorithm yesterday so this might give you some ideas  You can read that one HERE

I hope this has given you some good ideas on how to more effectively use your timeline. Also get away with some of those stealth posts.

Chris
