Bill Bateman   My Press Releases

Featured Members IBO week ending 9-24-2016

As an insurance agency owner I find myself on Sunday catching up on testing for the upcoming open enrollment for Medicare and ACA (better known as Obamacare).

I have a dozen  or so associated agents simultaneously completing this annual ritual. Nationwide I imagine probably 2,000 or more agents/brokers are investing their weekend going through the tedious minutiae.

While these tests have little meaningful impact (in my opinion) on consumers it keeps bureaucrats employed and benefits the testing companies who charge around $200 for each agent.

At stake for agents/brokers is whether or not they will get to not only earn an income selling these products this year but whether or not they’ll get paid for last years business. If you don’t pass you don’t get paid.

Last year I heard (too late to help) about one aging agent who permanently lost about $30,000 a year of income because he failed “the test”...

This increasing bureaucracy is one of the reasons more agents are leaving the health insurance business than going into the business for a decade.

It’s also a reason that many insurance agents are great prospects for programs that can help them supplement their income. Just a little insight for you if you are calling on an insurance agent prospect.

Now that IBO has given me some economic incentive through the advertising reseller change it’s even more appealing to seek out professionals (like insurance agents) who might advertise on this platform.

Tomorrow I’ll be setting down to watch the debates, right now let’s talk about the featured members of the day…

I’ve been doing this particular series of posts since January 18, 2014

This story is that I had missed recording who was featured for a couple of days and then found that there wasn’t a place on IBO where I could retrieve that information so…

I decided to put together my own “log”.

So far I’ve recorded/reviewed 1,001 Featured Members of the Day (FMOTD for short) over the last 143 weeks.

FMOTD’s  tend to be very active members on the platform.  That means to me that they tend to be “high value targets” (if you’ll forgive that term) for many different products and services.

I”ve also found them to be mostly really fine people.

You can’t “buy” the “FMOTD” designation, it’s based on a secret algorithm that only IBO knows.

If you would like to be “featured” yourself, “activity” is the key...

Be sure to be active in ALL the areas that you earn “stars”

Be consistent every day for awhile, and you too can be - might be - probably will be - the “FMOTD” (that’s Featured Member of the Day)

Be positive

I can’t tell you how active or for how long but I can tell you that I think it’s worth it to me and for hundreds of others here on IBO.

AND - if you don’t know - when one if “featured” they can’t be featured again for at least 45 days...

If you find value in this post, I encourage you to stop back each week to see who was “featured” each day.

Don’t worry If you miss a week (or more),I”ve got the list recorded. Just go to my list of posts.

“Click through” the individual’s name for each day and you can see their “statistics” - how many followers they have, the number of posts and press releases they have done, etcetera...

Here is the review of the IBO featured members of the day for this last week.

We are all helping each other by promoting the IBO platform because that’s the way IBO works.

You can be a future featured member too. Just be active in the areas that have earn you stars and be persistent.

Bill Bateman - (that’s like Batman with an “E” in the middle you’ll hear me say when we talk on the phone)

PS - this is the type of post you can use to recruit new members to IBO if you use it!

To do that, wrap the URL to this post in your own IBO link and share it with your contacts on Twitter - Facebook - LinkedIn - and anywhere else you think might have people that might benefit from IBO
