A Christian Alternative to Obamacare

I”ve been in the insurance business since I got my license in 1979 in Michigan and I sold my first health insurance policy that year.


When the Affordable Care Act - better known as Obamacare-  law passed in 2010 the democrat party that passed the legislation made many promises that have proven to be false.


Millions have lost the coverage they had for coverage that costs them more in premiums, costs them more in deductibles and coinsurance and leaves them with decreasing numbers of doctors and other medical providers that they can see.


But a lot of Christians don’t realize that the law allows for religious based alternatives to Obamacare like “Medi-Share


Medi-Share is a healthcare sharing ministry where members share each other's medical expenses. Members of Medi-Share have a God-honoring choice for their healthcare and although not insurance, Medi-Share is acceptable under the law.”


Like Obamacare policies, members decide first on a deductible, called “annual household portion” of $500 to $10,000.


Once your medical bills exceed that amount, Christian Care Ministry publishes the bills eligible for sharing and coordinates the direct sharing of medical costs between members.


Members contribute a monthly share amount that is matched with another member’s eligible medical bills.


You can see whose bills you are paying, and your fellow believers will share and pray with you when you have eligible bills!


Since 1993, Medi-Share members have shared more than $1.2 billion in healthcare expenses.


It’s preferred network, in total, is larger than most because it’s a national network, unlike the ever shrinking networks in the Obamacare exchanges


Members can use any doctor they like, but network doctors have agreed to lower fee schedules.


If you are Christian and concerned that you are paying too much for health insurance or maybe don’t have any at all, Medi-Share is an alternative I endorse and recommend.
