I Had "Shinny Object Syndrome" Can Any One Relate?

" We have a name for people who purchase whatever is thrown to them.

They are called the Shiny Object Syndrome people...and it's a disease.   It's not a bad one.

But it is a disease, that we all go through in our first years of trying to make money online.

Let me tell you my story.   2012, i get fired.  for about 8 months i was focusing on being a real estate agent, at the same time, i tried to figure out how i'm going to get an income going on.

The best choice i had at the time was to become some kind of freelancer.  I became one.  I knew Social Media Marketing is something i can get into.  Something i can get started from my own comfort of my home.

I signed up to Upwork.  I started building my profile, first with all the jobs i've done in my life, something like a c.v.   Then i started stating how i'm a Social Media Manager expert .

Little do people know, at the time of stating that, i was actually looking on google how to become a successful social media consultant or marketing manager.

I had basic info on this subject, but I woudn't quit on this idea.  I knew it was something i can do from home, and i saw others making money from it. So why not.

To my suprise in about 3 months, i landed my first serious online job as a freelancer on upwork doing Social Media for a Bed and Breakfast Hotel in New Zealand.

I had myself at 5$ an hour, which is dead minimum wages, but i had to start from somewhere.

When i landed the job I was able to convince my new boss, for us to make it 300euros per month and i'll do EVERYTHING for them.

See if I took the 5$ an hour....

He mentioned he was going to want me to work about 15 hours a week .

I thought, that's not going to bring me money i can live on...

so i came up with the one time price and included everything.

From running all his social media profiles, to his websites, to his blog posting, video creating, logo creating, etc etc.   BUT i was making my first 300 euros a month, and this lasted for about 2 1/2 years :).

Then i was able to fire my boss..... Now that I was making some type of income, and had my realstate job too at the time, things were looking up.

then went to land a second job at 735 euros a month, for a nigerian conglomerate business , so now i'm making about 1,000 a month plus real estate money i was making.

Now from all this, I made it happen in less than 8 months.  I was hustling, and learning, and trying to figure it out.   I figured it out, but again, I was once again working for other people.

I kept saying to my self.  I'm going to have to figure out how to make my own business and not depend on others to pay me.

That's when I opened up the doors to affiliate marketing. It was by accident, from some research I was doing on how to become a social media marketing manager, I found how to be an affiliate marketer.

I remember my first reaction to it all was ... OH HELL NO i'm not entering my EMAIL to that!   SCAM ALERT! ... etc.. well this time... I thought about it, and said nope i'll do it.   And I did.  I took my chance.  Thank god I DID! :D

Well after me paying my first course back in 2014, it was on JVZOO ..that course cost me some money, then i proceeded to buying various 10$ products some were even 5$.

Whatever the case, I didn't have money or a budget.  I had to go with what I had.  I'm glad I did though.   AT some point, the addiction kicked in.   Ahhh This is IT this will help me fire my bosses i kept on saying.

I would start the training, and not even finish at times.

I would get stuck at the place where i needed to purchase a tool to make things work, or invest in something else, to make it work.  I kept at it though.  I didn't understand why i had to do all that.  Everyone kept on saying, it's easy, push button, its going to change my life.

At the same time I was also working on my mindset.

I was becoming more positive, and thinking of things as these are put infront of me for a reason.

Let me try and see the bigger picture.

What was going on at that time, without me realizing, is that I was Learning.

I was learning how to become an affiliate marketer, but I didn't realize this until way later on.

In 2016 is where I thought, omg...why Have I bought this? . .i know this..

And that's when i realized my life has changed.  I suddenly was making money from all the stuff I was learning but still kept on buying, up until I broke the code.

I started implementing, everything i've learnt and then when I saw my first results,  I created my first full on course, to then creating more courses, to then becoming a super affiliate, to then opening my first online business, to now teaching others, and still growing and learning.

This all couldn't have been done with me opening up  my mind a little...

Changing my negativity to positive......putting some goals, believing in the system, and making it happen.

These little courses i was going through for 5$ or 10$ have guru's behind them.

That one investment could lead to bigger things for you in the future... Something like what happened to me.

Buying courses and training and software is not a bad thing.  It's a good lesson.

You are investing not Buying.  So my advice to you... if you really want to get to where we are at is find the one guru that will help you, either from their courses or them mentoring you.

Depending on your budget there is one way of getting started today.

1. Go Here and Start With This Course Here

This course is created from a person, who I consider a guru in the im industry.

For anyone who sat here, and read my whole story here in this email, then understand, this was taught to me by this guru.  I bought 9.95$ courses from this person.

Not just one, but a few, and i ended up even joining his inner circle group for 2,000$.  (no you don't have to pay that)

I do know this person changed my life though.  This story was to show you, that I too was investing, and still am.  Not everyone will relate to you, but some will.  And when these people do, then you'll come out a winner.  "

After reading Demetris story I could relate so much. This is me Alan Davis writing this part. I use to do that myself but I calmed down alot.

When I had the shinny object sydrome I bought many things, some where great some where complete repeats of other products the difference was the name. Some was stuff I already knew from watching youtube videos and reading google articles.

But the benefit out of the shinny object sydrome was I learned many different ways to do things. I picked up many different skills.

So I did benefit some from this sydrome but now I just save my money and really research things before I purchase, watch review videos, read articles, ask people who bought the product that I trust. Because there are people who say yeah this product is good and than send you the link and they know darn well its garbage product but they just want a commission.

So I only ask people I trust for there opinion. HOPE everyone enjoyed Demetris Story and lets stop the shinny object symdrome today.
